Children
Storybooks World is made for young children to enjoy with Mommy, Daddy or their parents. We do not collect any personal information from children.
Children can read, listen and play without an account. We never ask a child for a name, email, photo, voice recording or location.
There are no ads, no tracking for advertising and no chat with other people.
What we keep from parents
When a parent asks for a parent permission, we keep the parent’s name and email address. We send a one-time code to that email to check that it belongs to the parent.
We also note when the permission was first asked for and last used. Progress in the stories stays on your own device.
Why we keep it
We use the parent’s name and email only to give the parent permission, to stop misuse of free permissions and to reach the parent about their permission. We do not sell or share it for marketing.
The browser keeps a small permission cookie that opens the books on that device for seven days.
Who helps us
Runs the website and stores the parent’s name and email in its database.
Sends the one-time code email to the parent.
How long we keep it
We keep the parent’s name and email for 12 months after the permission was last used. Then we delete them.
Ask us to delete it
To see or delete what we hold, email us from the address you used for the parent permission. We will delete your name and email and reply to confirm.
